Alice is 5 Months (on October 3rd)

Yay for Alice! Five months has been a fun stage so far. Alice's personality has really started to take shape. All about Alice:
* Alice loves to look around and explore. She has been doing this since day one. Now that she is a little more mobile, she gets a little more hands on. Here she is with one of my People magazines (yes, I have a subscription. I have to, now that Kristin is gone):

* Alice has learned that if she wants to stay up, her best bet is with Daddy. All she has to do is smile and do a trick like this: Works every time.

*Alice can roll on her tummy, and just today, has figured out how to roll on her back! It's about time. I was getting tired of her whining because she didn't want to be on her tummy anymore.
* Alice is trying to get her legs underneath her when she's on her tummy, but she hasn't quite figured out that she needs her arms under her, too. She either gets her leg under her or her arms. One of these days, she'll master both.
* Alice can't sit up without assistance. I keep trying to show that if she bends her legs, she can balance, but she'll have none of it. She wants her legs straight. She thinks sitting is the same thing as standing.
* Alice is so good to lay in her crib and play before we get her up in the morning. There have been many times I have been awakened by the sound of Alice talking to herself and laughing. We usually find her head wedged in the furthest corner of her crib with her blankets over her head.
* She LOVES it when Daddy comes home! She perks up and smiles when she hears his voice. Mostly because Mommy is boring.
* She LOVES Darby from My Friends Tigger and Pooh. She laughs every time Darby gets a close-up
* Alice's favorite person outside of Mommy and Daddy is her oldest cousin, Taylor. All Taylor has to do is smile, and Alice goes nuts. She screams, laughs, gabs, and kicks like crazy! This is an affection I highly approve of (I actually highly approve of any of her cousins). Taylor is the funniest and the cutest kid ever, and she is such a good big sister. She is the oldest cousin, and she takes that responsibility seriously.
* I think Alice is teething. She has gotten really whiny and clingy. She drools constantly, and she puts anything she can in her mouth. She loves her frozen chew toys and her binky when I put it in the freezer.
* Love my Alice!
